Meet Our Practitioners

Jordan Bailey and Lani Roach have become an invaluable part of our team. Both bring different experiences and strengths to the table. As Dr. Watterson has transitioned to Rockwell Direct, we have had many patients with questions regarding their care. We want to highlight our amazing nurse practitioners and help answer some of the questions you may have!

“Can I stay at the practice if I don’t join Rockwell Direct?”

The answer is a wholehearted YES! Our nurse practitioners have been more than able to help care for the patients at Rockwell Physicians. They have partnered with Dr. Watterson to create a collaborative team to help better care for our patients. They will seek Dr. Watterson for clinical advice, update him on patient care, and even bring him in to patient appointments when they are seeking a second opinion.

“What can a nurse practitioner do?”

Our nurse practitioners serve as primary care providers, independently write prescriptions, examine and diagnose illnesses, provide treatments, order imaging or specialist referrals, and perform minor surgeries (ie: sutures, cryosurgery, mole biopsies, etc.).

I am a board-certified family nurse practitioner. I enjoy providing compassionate care to individuals of all ages and helping people achieve optimal health through wellness education and disease prevention. I graduated summa cum laude as a student-athlete from Virginia Tech in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercise and a minor in Spanish. I decided to pursue my passion for helping others by becoming a nurse practitioner. I graduated from VCU School of Nursing in 2006 with a master’s degree in nursing with an emphasis on family practice. I am married to a fellow Hokie, and together we have two children.

I am a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. I began my career in the military in 1990 where I became a Combat Medic and received both my Emergency Medical Technician and Respiratory Therapist Certifications. I continued my education by obtaining my associates degree as a Registered Nurse in 1995 and my bachelors of science in nursing in 2015, graduating in 2018 with my master’s degree at Chamberlain College of Nursing in Chicago with a focus on family practice. I have been married for over 25 years and am very proud of the accomplishments of my three children (Devin, Aurora and Dylan).

Beth Murray is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing comprehensive primary care to individuals and families. Beth has been a registered nurse in the Richmond area for over 20 years, with experience in surgical trauma, emergency medicine, cardiology, electrophysiology, and interventional radiology.

With a Master of Science in Nursing from South University, she is passionate about preventative care and chronic disease management, with a special interest in diabetes management, weight loss, and hormone therapy. She believes in empowering patients through education and collaborative treatment through fostering strong patient-provider relationships.

Outside of the clinic, Beth and her husband, John, enjoy watching their two youngest boys play travel soccer throughout the year.

I am a Richmond native who is joining Rockwell Physicians as a Family Nurse Practitioner. With over 12 years of experience in the medical field, I have a wealth of clinical knowledge and a passion for patient-centered care. I earned both her Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing degrees from South University’s Richmond campus. My background includes years of service as a Pediatric Registered Nurse in high-acuity settings such as the NICU, PICU, and pediatric emergency room at a level one trauma center. Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children, traveling, finding new adventures, relaxing by the beach, and enjoying live music.
