Lani Roach, FNP | Jordan Bailey, FNP | Emily Love, FNP
Jordan Bailey, Lani Roach, and Emily Love have become an invaluable part of our team. Each of them brings different experiences and strengths to the table. As Dr. Watterson has transitioned to Rockwell Direct, we have had many patients with questions regarding their care. We want to highlight our amazing nurse practitioners and help answer some of the questions you may have!
“Can I stay at the practice if I don’t join Rockwell Direct?”
The answer is a wholehearted YES! Our nurse practitioners have been more than able to help care for the patients at Rockwell Physicians. They have partnered with Dr. Watterson to create a collaborative team to help better care for our patients. They will seek Dr. Watterson for clinical advice, update him on patient care, and even bring him in to patient appointments when they are seeking a second opinion.
“What can a nurse practitioner do?”
Our nurse practitioners serve as primary care providers, independently write prescriptions, examine and diagnose illnesses, provide treatments, order imaging or specialist referrals, and perform minor surgeries (ie: sutures, cryosurgery, mole biopsies, etc.).

Jordan Bailey, FNP
I am a board-certified family nurse practitioner. I enjoy providing compassionate care to individuals of all ages and helping people achieve optimal health through wellness education and disease prevention. I graduated summa cum laude as a student-athlete from Virginia Tech in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercise and a minor in Spanish. I decided to pursue my passion for helping others by becoming a nurse practitioner. I graduated from VCU School of Nursing in 2006 with a master’s degree in nursing with an emphasis on family practice. I am married to a fellow Hokie, and together we have two children.
