Jeffrey Dodd, MD
My aspirations to become a physician to care for families of all ages with a variety of medical illnesses began in middle school. After completing my undergraduate degree from the College of William and Mary, I was able to fulfill my dream by earning my medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University in 1992. I went on to complete internship and family practice residency at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA.
Since finishing residency in 1995, I have had the privilege of building lasting relationships with patients in Powhatan County. I enjoy helping patients obtain the optimal health and wellness by collaboration, encouragement and exploring best treatment options available.
I have served as an associate clinical professor of family practice at the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University, teaching medical students since 1995.
In addition to practicing medicine, I enjoy swimming, basketball, music, church activities and short-term missions. I am the proud husband of Stephanie and the father of five children, three boys, and two girls.
